The Friends of Coco Palms seeks to pave the way for a Coco Palms future that is culturally based, historically respectful, publicly accessible, and cherished by Kauaians for generations to come.
The Friends of Coco Palms is an ad-hoc steering committee formed in late 2007 shortly after the announcement that the current developer was abandoning its redevelopment plans. The members of the committee share in the broadly held community belief that the people of Hawai‘i are being given a unique opportunity to protect this magnificent area for public benefit.
